Malunggay Pandesal (Bread) | The Benefits Of Malunggay Leaves

A few years ago our kasambahay told me about a new type of pandesal (bread) that she tasted. She said, unlike the typical pandesal, this one was made with malunggay leaves. Knowing that malunggay leaves have some good health benefits, I opted to give it a try and asked her to bring me some the next time she comes over.

How does it taste?
Delicious. For a mere 2 Php per piece, this was really worth it. I was never really a big fan of pandesal because I found it too grainy. Somehow, since this tastes a little sweeter and was softer than any other pandesal that I ever tasted, I really enjoyed it. A healthy breakfast for only 10 Pesos or less?? Unfreaking believable. I love it too much.

Beauty and the Beast the movie

It only seems fair to watch this over the amount of advertisements everywhere. First, the selling point to go see the movie was actress, Emma Watson, playing as Belle. Second, the imagination that comes with the effects that the movie will have with the moving, talking – living furniture. Lastly, if the live film would retain Beauty and the Beast’s Disney cartoon movie.

Let’s start with the main character, Belle.

Bringing all the hype to all Harry Potter fans, Hermione Granger did well as Belle. Although I would have pegged this Disney princess to be tougher and less feminine than the other princesses, I would have preferred her not being super tomboy-ish on screen. When Emma started singing, it was nice. She wasn’t bad and she looked beautiful. I would’ve loved the song had it not been for the slouching and awkward standing posture. I still loved Emma through the movie though. I can only find a short clip of the live movie. See below versions of the song “Little Town”

2017

The Beast was great as a beast. I didn’t know who the actor was, really. When Beast transformed into his human form, surprisingly, he looked like the cartoon. [His name is Dan Stevens.]

I prefer him like this rather than his fixed-up prince look. The weird hair doesn’t do the real hair justice.

The best casting, I would have to say, was Gaston played by Luke Evans. It was as if the character was pulled out of the 1991 film.

Just an added bonus, a 360 view video of Lumiere singing “Be Our Guest.”

My Lazada Addiction

“Online shopping,” two words I never thought I would enjoy #thedemise. Once Lazada kept showing up on facebook, I started to live in some alternate universe where money no longer lived in my wallet.

Look at this:

It’s so user friendly, you’d mistake it like a flirtatious bastard (ekskyusme).

My first shopping in Lazada got me an FC computer, a wall canvas, wall stickers, two VRs with bluetooth headsets and controllers, a brush that straightens hair, a jacket, etc. I kid you not, I have 56 items on my wishlist, including a chair worth at least Php30,000.

Let me help you understand. They even have clocks you see, clocks that only existed in my dreams.

They have almost everything I didn’t think about finding and I know I’ll never need.

But it’s awesome; nice to browse at something unnecessary that I will probably own with a few taps on my phone. If this makes sense, thank you. If it doesn’t, you’re welcome.

Weekends Forever

Here I write the very first official entry of my new blog, Weekends Forever. I rummage through my mind and try to find different things I’m interested in. Perhaps it’s not just the new shiny things that are enticing. Conceivably, my interests could also be interests of other people.

This blog will come out with one element at a time, depending on weekend opportunities. It would most likely grow in time, giving birth to divisions in which I hope to be able to update every weekend as it is the only time where things you want to do can actually be done. Below is the list of places you can find me. Mostly active in instagram, the world of vision and wondrous colors, and twitter, the world of wisdom and impeccable vocabulary.
